Measurement of electrophoretic mobility of coated nanoparticles using EAF4

The Postnova EAF2000 system is based on the AF2000 asymmetrical flow FFF module, with an additional electrical FFF module, a special EAF4 channel and a software module. The EAF2000 is ideal for many applications in the domains of biopharm, environment and nanomaterials.

In this application note, the electrical asymmetrical flow FFF (EAF4) system was used to measure the electrophoretic mobility and zeta potential of 50 nm Ag nanoparticles (AgNPs) coated with three different coating materials, namely citrate, polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) and tannic acid.
