This application note exlpores the use of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy to aid in the formulation of a product containing a dispersed blue carboxy dye. NMR relaxation measurements that trend with desired characteristics of the final product are compared across formulations containing a variety of surfactants. NMR measurements such as these can be readily made using the Mageleka MagnoMeter XRS.
